About The Role:

As a Bid Manager, you will lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, supporting the successful conversion of new business opportunities across the OCS public sector business with a particular focus on healthcare bids. The role requires strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to produce high-quality, compliant, and compelling bid submissions.

This role offers flexibility to be fully remote anywhere in the UK, or office‑based on a hybrid basis in London, Ipswich, or Glasgow.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, manage and coordinate all stages of the bid lifecycle from qualification through to submission and handover including booking governance meetings
  • Facilitate bid/no bid decisions, kick-off meetings, solution development sessions, review stages
  • Analyse tender documentation (ITT/ITN) to develop a clear understanding of client requirements and ensure full compliance
  • Develop and maintain detailed bid plans, ensuring milestones, deadlines and deliverables are achieved
  • Work collaboratively with business development, operational, commercial and subject matter experts to shape winning solutions
  • Translate win strategies into clear, compelling written responses and bid themes
  • Write, edit and review high-quality bid content, ensuring consistency, clarity and alignment to client requirements
  • Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant and delivered on time
  • Support post-bid reviews, capturing feedback and driving continuous improvement
  • Build strong internal relationships across OCS to support effective bid delivery and knowledge sharing

Skills, Experience & Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience managing bids within Facilities Management (FM), with strong exposure to Soft FM services
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering high-quality, compliant and successful bid submissions
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive and structured content
  • Ability to interpret complex tender documentation and translate requirements into winning responses
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail and strong document review/editing capability

Desirable:

  • Experience in Healthcare FM bid management
  • Understanding of pricing strategies and commercial considerations within bids
  • Experience contributing to win strategies and solution development
