About The Role:

Location:  This is a key role working throughout the South of Ireland 

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Facilities Management Account Director to lead the delivery of a high-profile, national, multi-service Facilities Management contract. Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for operational excellence, client satisfaction, commercial performance, and continuous improvement across all service lines.

This is a strategic leadership role requiring a strong track record in Facilities Management, contract management, stakeholder engagement, and financial accountability.

Key Responsibilities
As Account Director for one of our prestigious clients, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing overall leadership and direction for the Facilities Management contract.
  • Taking full accountability for contract performance, including P&L management, budget control, and commercial outcomes.
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of integrated FM services in line with contractual commitments, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as the senior escalation point and trusted advisor.
  • Driving operational excellence, service innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives across all service streams.
  • Leading and developing high-performing operational teams across multiple locations.
  • Creating a positive, collaborative culture that promotes engagement, accountability, and best practice.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing risk, business continuity planning, and service resilience across the contract.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies, value creation, and service enhancement.
  • Leading contract governance processes, including business reviews, performance reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Managing supplier and subcontractor performance to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Supporting growth opportunities, contract retention, and change management initiatives.
  • Ensuring effective communication and timely escalation of operational, commercial, or reputational risks.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:

  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in Facilities Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Significant senior leadership experience within a Facilities Management environment.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex, multi-service FM contracts.
  • Demonstrable success in P&L management, commercial performance, and budget accountability.
  • Strong client-facing experience with a proven ability to build and develop executive-level stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams and driving high performance.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification as a minimum.
  • Experience managing supply chain partners and subcontractors.
  • A strategic mindset with a proven ability to drive innovation, operational improvement, and service excellence.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The right to work in the EU.
