About The Role:

Working hours: Monday - Friday 7:45 - 16:30, 9 day fortnight (every 2nd Friday off)

The Supplier Relationship Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the relationships between OCS and its suppliers and subcontractors within a hard services facilities management (FM) environment. This role will focus on a single national retail account, ensuring that all supplier interactions align with company objectives, budgets, and performance standards. Travel will be required for this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Develop the procurement account strategy in partnership with the account team and take ownership to lead the delivery as the primary liaison for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Main Point of Contact: Act as the primary liaison for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Increase Supplier Pool: Identify, select, develop and manage new supply chain to support future business through a rigorous evaluation process, ongoing performance measurement, contract review and benchmarking
  • Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships between OCS and its suppliers, ensuring mutual understanding and collaboration.
  • Value for Money: Negotiate and deliver cost savings through negotiation. Evidence value for money that can be demonstrated to our client, monitored and reported monthly.
  • Tendering: Support risk-based approach to supplier tendering, selection and award, building in commercial analysis of tenders / negotiations to ensure caveats / assumptions are well managed; the correct financial model is used, and any KPIS / SLAs / Programme risk is negotiated and back-to-back with supply chain, ensuring the correct stakeholders have been engaged and scope and asset information has been validated
  • KPI and SLA Management: Oversee and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure they are met in line with company budgets and expectations.
  • Contract Negotiation: Support Negotiation of contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing while ensuring compliance with company policies and objectives.
  • Performance Evaluation: Develop and implement supplier performance evaluation metrics to assess and improve supplier quality, delivery, and service levels.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier reliability and product quality, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, focusing on process enhancements and cost reduction strategies.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve disputes and manage conflicts with suppliers in a timely and effective manner to minimize impact on business operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Organize and lead cross-functional team meetings to review supplier performance, discuss challenges, and plan future procurement strategies. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in supplier relationship management within a hard services FM environment.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement performance metrics.
  • Experience in risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
