About The Role:

Role Purpose: 

The core function of the role is to be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and fabric works across nationwide contracts.  Review and improve maintenance routines. Carry out trouble shooting and repairs when failures occur. Assist in the completion of small project works.

List of Duties:

  • Liaising with Helpdesk team to carry out planned preventative maintenance as assigned and under our remit.
  • To carry out a range of duties to cover minor mechanical and general building fabric maintenance, which will consist of some general operative tasks.
  • Proactively identify maintenance issues and report back to Helpdesk.
  • Liaise with the Helpdesk and Contract Managers and respond to all queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreements.
  • Deal with colleagues, suppliers and contractors in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Ensure correct and safe use of hand and power tools on sites and ensure that all equipment used is calibrated and certified/tested as required.
  • Assist other departments if/when required.
  • Provide support in the implementation of short- and long-term projects as required.
  • Pursue continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and collaborate in a team environment.

General Requirements:

  • General maintenance and repair skills with basic facilities experience.
  • Ability to fault finding and problem-solve.

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are complied with in accordance with the company and client requirements.
  • Foster a proactive approach to H&S & ensure work is always completed/managed to a high standard of safety.
