Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 8am until 9am at Solartron Retail Park and then every Sunday 13:00-19:00 at Blackwater Shopping Park, GU14 8BL.
We are looking for a multi skilled cleaning operative to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for cleaning the areas provided whilst also ensure the safety and security of our customers, retailers and staff. You will achieve this by conducting regular patrols, completing reactive and scheduled cleaning tasks and responding to incidents on the estate. This role is mainly a cleaning based position, however with some security duties included.
Main Responsibilities:
- Patrolling of the site to ensure safety, security and cleanliness
- Advising and assisting retailers where necessary
- Daily general cleaning of the site, involving the use of cleaning machinery
- Reviewing CCTV
- Ensuring all daily tasks have been completed within deadline requirements.
Health & Safety Accountabilities:
- Communicate regularly with colleagues through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas and that morale remains high.
- Ensure that the OCS safety image is reflected positively through your actions and those of your colleagues.
- Ensure that personal H&S competence and skill level is maintained i.e. attended Managing Safety programme and other Company safety events.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- Front line security experience is preferred
- Cleaning experience is essential
- SIA Qualification is essential
- CCTV licence is preferred
- Confidence within independent working.
