Role Overview:
The Finance Analyst role sits within Procurement and will be responsible for end-to-end supplier rebate governance and strengthening the integrity of Procurement’s value delivery reporting. You will ensure rebates are validated, claimed, reconciled and received and that savings, cost avoidance, synergy and inflation challenges are evidenced and auditable. The primary purpose of this role is to reduce value leakage, improve transparency and enable faster and better commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional
• Manage the end-to-end rebate lifecycle from agreement to reconciliation through to cash collection.
• Maintain the central rebate tracker ensuring accurate forecasting and benefit realization
• Working with the Category Management team and Legal to ensure rebate clauses are unambiguous and exclusions, tiering and volumes are adequately reflected in the tracker.
• Collaborate with finance to ensure rebates are processed and accrued correctly and VAT treatment is consistent finance policies.
• Work with finance to resolve aged debt queries impacting supplier relationships.
• Report monthly on rebate earned, claimed, received and any at risk leakage.
• Carry out details cost-benefit analysis for any proposed synergy initiatives
• Validate synergy opportunities in collaboration with Synergy Lead, Analysts, Category Managers and Operational Stakeholders.
• Analyse pricing structures, service levels and cost optimisation metrics.
• Identify opportunities for volume-related discounts and improved commercial terms.
• Develop and maintain synergy tracker and dashboards using Excel and Power BI
• Monitor the progress towards the rebate and the synergy target, raising any risks or bottlenecks
• Provide regular reports on progress to the Head of Procurement Transformation and Heads of Category
• Audit rebate and synergy numbers to ensure accuracy and compliance with actual OCS volume/value throughput and align with reported savings.
• Provide seamless engagement with Finance to ensure we uphold our commitment to pay our suppliers on time.
• Form strong, productive relationships with both the business, finance and the supply base ensuring the UK and Ireland business is the customer of choice leading to business growth and profitability.

Qualifications:
Necessary:
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified or part qualified
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes
• Advanced experience in spend analysis, supplier consolidation and cost-benefit analysis
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced Level Excel and Power Bi
• Commercial awareness with the ability to carry out financial analysis
• High standard of accuracy and precision
• Demonstrable experience delivering MI and translating data into actionable insights.
